Connect to a Proxy

Ready to start testing with WonderProxy? You've found the right place.

WonderProxy’s proxy servers let you route your browser traffic through any of our worldwide locations, so you can see exactly what your website looks like to users in different regions. There are two main ways to get connected.

WonderSwitcher browser extension (recommended)

The fastest way to start testing. Install WonderSwitcher for Chrome, Firefox, or Edge, import your WonderProxy servers, and switch locations with a single click. The extension also supports browser geolocation overrides, traffic filters, custom headers, and encrypted connections.

Manual browser or OS configuration

If you prefer not to use an extension, you can configure proxy settings directly in your operating system or browser. We have step-by-step instructions for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Before you connect

Whichever method you choose, you'll need:

  1. Servers added to your WonderProxy account.
  2. Your WonderProxy username
  3. A proxy token (generate one in your account — this is your proxy password)
  4. The hostname of the server you want to connect through (e.g. newyork.wonderproxy.com).

A username and proxy token are required to log into the proxy servers. Users cannot use Single Sign-On for proxy server authentication.

If you need to route all traffic from your device rather than just browser traffic, you may want to connect via VPN instead. Many WonderProxy servers support both proxy and VPN connections — check the server page for details.
