Configure your system to use WonderProxy's VPN

Windows 7 VPN Configuration

  1. From the start menu, select Control Panel.
  2. Select Network and Internet.
  3. Choose Network and Sharing Center.
  4. Select Set up a new connection or network.
  5. Select Connect to to a workplace, and click Next.
  6. Ensure No, create a new connection is selected, and click Next.
  7. Select Use my Internet Connection (VPN).
  8. Enter the hostname of the desired server (e.g. ) and enter a suitable Destination Name (e.g. WonderProxy - San Antonio). Connect to to a workplace settings
  9. Select Don't connect now; just set it up so I can connect later, and click Next.
  10. Enter your WonderProxy username and proxy token and select Remember this password. Then, click Create.
  11. Click Close (not connect).
  12. Select Connect to a network.
  13. Right click on the new connection and select Properties.
  14. Select the Security tab.
  15. Choose Layer 2 Tunnelling Protocol with IPsec (L2TP/IPsec) from the Type of VPN drop-down menu.

  16. Click on Advanced Properties.
  17. Select Use preshared key for authentication and input the WonderProxy shared secret, (you must be logged in as a proxy user to view the shared secret), and click OK.

  18. Check the box for Unencrypted password (PAP).
  19. Click OK. You can now connect to the VPN by clicking Connect to a newtork, and then selecting the network from the list and clicking Connect.
