Configure your iOS device to use WonderProxy’s VPN

Install the iOS App

The fastest & easiest way to get started with with our WonderSwitcher for iOS app.

  1. Download the app from the App Store

  2. Log in to your account, normally or with SSO

  3. Give WonderSwitcher the VPN permissions it asks for, you'll be required to enter your device PIN.

  4. Select a proxy to connect to.

iOS 18 IKEv2 Configuration

  1. Use Settings app to navigate to General » VPN & Device management » VPN
  2. Press Add VPN Configuration…
  3. Make sure the default type IKEv2 is selected
  4. Enter the description, consider “WonderProxy - <location>”
  5. Use <location>.wonderproxy.com as both the server and Remote ID.
  6. Make sure Username is selected as the user authentication method
  7. Enter your WonderProxy username
  8. And a generated passphrase

  9. Do not enable additional proxy settings, keep the toggle in “Off” position

  10. Press Done at the top to finish

  11. Now you can connect by selecting the WonderProxy location from the list and toggling the switch at the top of the page

iOS 14.4 IKEv1 Configuration

  1. Open up Settings
  2. Select General
  3. Select VPN, then Add VPN Configuration
  4. For Type, select L2TP
  5. For Description, enter WonderProxy
  6. For Server, type the server address (e.g. toronto.wonderproxy.com)
  7. In Account, enter your WonderProxy username
  8. In Password, enter your proxy token, or leave it blank if you want it to prompt you every time you try to connect
  9. In Secret, enter: (you must be logged in as a proxy user to view the shared secret) (we found copy-pasting it in was much easier than trying to type it)
  10. Make sure that Send All Traffic is enabled
